The roOm was well appoiNted and the view, spectacular
Check- in time was 4pm. I arrived at 3:50 and checked in but was told I had to wait about 20 minutes for my. Key. When I returned in 30 minutes the same clerk could not fond the paperwork and finally realized she had entered my first name instead of my last. Also she did not seem to remember that it was she who had initially checked me in. She resolved the problem. I got a very nice room, but it was off-putting and an unpleasant initial experience.
Most important, comfortable bed, luxurious accomodations and only hotel in Atlantic City reported not to have bed bug infestation. Will definitely stay there again.
I liked the location right by the boardwalk and in walking distance to various spots. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
The fact that you have to pay to park at the hotel as a guest was a dislike, but I realized that most places in Atlantic City you do have to pay to park. Other than that I have no complaints.
Beds were very comfortable, great views, very friendly service during checkin/checkout!
Pools close a little too early for summertime, restaurant was half empty and still had to wait 25 minutes for a table at breakfast
The location, comfy bed and free beach services
Staff was rude at the reception and not enough staff during busy hours
The rooms (including the bathroom) are very stylish and clean. The view of our ocean view room was great. There was a booking problem between Booked.net and the hotel so that they wanted to put us in a bay front room. But after showing the confirmation of Booked.net we got the room we booked. (Despite the staff was unfriendly and first treated me like a fool they in the end acted customer friendly and uncomplicated.). - The pool on the fifth floor witht the charis and umbrellas looked nice, not very big but nice. - At the beach is a private sector only for the hotel where you can get umbrellas and chairs for free as a guest. That was great! (For breakfast we can highly recommend the Country Kitchen just 3 doors to the left on the Boardwalk. Very good food and inexpensive - we have eaten four times there.) - The location was great just behind a small and flat house of the boardwalk. - The valet parking was ok (10 USD per weekday.
3 of 4 front desk staff were unfriendly. We would have appreciated an empty fridge and a micro have. (There was a small fridge we could use after taking out the mini bar stuff.)
Reasonable prices..friendly staff reasonable $$
Hotel empty.. Smelled musky and with mildew..air conditioner the "worst" loud , and awakened me every 15 min all night long!!! Plus 20'something partying hallways (12th floor) til 5am,, thought this was a great value but felt like a college get together..margate in ac. Is the 5th floor the focus..???? Byw the 5th floor during the day "smelled" like spilled beer and run down hotel. This can be fixed.
We enjoy boutique-style hotels and consider The Chelsea Hotel to be one of them! The decor reminded us of the 1960s era and it was fun and chic at the same time. The room was comfortable - the breakfast restaurant convenient. We did not have time to enjoy the restaurant, but the decor was very nice and chic. We would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. The service at the front desk was slow (not enough personnel) - but was friendly.
The tv remote control did not work in our room and I wish the views were better. We had a partial view of the ocean, but with no balcony - it's limited enjoyment of the ocean. The window opens, but again, just a partial enjoyment.
I was very impress with the design and high standard of the room, the best part was the comfortable bed, the relaxing atmosphere, the location and the view from the room.
Everything was over and beyond my expectation, there is nothing bad to say
The price was 99 usd + tax (113 usd), but with my credit card removed 100 usd at the time of arrival + another $ 45, while traveling !!!??? ... after the proceedings, $ 32 promised to return in 2-3 days ..look ..
We thought the service was very good..everyone was helpful and pleasant. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The coffee shop was a wonderful addition and we reminisced because our wedding was held at the Teplitzky Hotel in 1966, a few weeks before their unfortunate fire. We certainly would return again.
I love everything about this hotel . It was a home away from home, very clean and comfortable!!:)
My stay at this hotel was well spent no complains.
On the boardwalk and not a casino
No complimentary breakfast.
Valet parking was convenient, even though it did cost $10/night. The room was clean and offered a nice view of the ocean. We were upgraded to the ocean view room because they oversold the regular rooms.
The doors and walls were thin, so hallway noise made it difficult to sleep. This was not necessarily a fault of the hotel, as I blame the noise on a group of rowdy kids.
The rooms were econonomical and very clean.
The spa was disappointing.
